AFA Turns Seven

It has been an incredible seven years! From the ashes of 9-11, AFA was started in 2001 with a vision of creating a national network of athletes supported by the American sports system who could help Protect * Serve * Educate and Make A Difference in communities all across America. Over the past seven years AFA has been honored by many great individuals who have supported this mission statement.

Everyday more people are beginning to see just how important it is to prepare themselves for all types of emergencies. What better way than to “Team-Up” with your local AFA Sports Stars and emergency professionals to learn how you can be better educated and prepared for what lies ahead.

Since its birth in September of 2001 AFA has traveled thousands of miles all across America branding its name and cause. From the Midwest floods of 2003 to the Florida hurricanes of 2005, AFA has been involved. Katrina, Rita, Gustav and IKE, AFA has been on the scene lending a helping hand. Each and everyday AFA is on the move looking for a way to better serve America.

In the coming year AFA will begin to expand it’s name and cause by partnering with some of the brightest and most exciting Sports Stars today. AFA will Team-Up with these great athletes in communities all across America and ask that they help promote our vision. That vision is to help all Americans become better prepared for any and all types of emergencies. With everyone’s commitment and participation, we together can become what AFA’s Founder envisioned seven years ago, the largest non governmental network of athletes and citizens in America all prepared to Protect * Serve * Educate and Make A difference in their respective communities!!
